Who we are
It all started in the 1950s, in the first years of the young state of Israel, and soon became a reality: The establishment of a modern supermarket in Tel Aviv was a revolutionary idea, the brain-child of a young man - Mr. Ben-Zion Ben-Haim - which dreamed of setting up a chain of grocery stores which could only be seen in the United States and Canada at the time
Shufersal’s organizational structure aims to support the Company's growth strategy and to implement and strengthen its growth engines and the factors that support its various activities.
Shufersal is a public company whose shares have been traded on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange (TASE) for 36 years. Besides shares, the Company has also issued bonds, which are also traded regularly on the TASE. As Israel’s largest and leading retailer, Shufersal acknowledges its significant responsibility towards its various stakeholders.
